Four dives after I bought my first canister light a Halcyon 21w it drowned. Ever since I got it back I have been a bit worried about it failing. During the last dive at 24m depth, water temperature of 3 degrees and a 15-20 minute swim from the boat it failed... The return trip was dark and cold, even with my buddy's canister light just a few feet's away.
Back home I recharged the light, prepared a bucket of water and a tv-show to test how long the light would last in tap-water-temperature. It lasted all of four minute, so much for watching several episodes back to back while waiting for the light to go out.
I had noticed that the charger never turned green. I went to the store, after a few minute they could tell me that the charger have a fuse.... need I say more. They also kindly informed me that this was in the manuals troubleshooting section, all of this while they replaced it.
